HT Online at Huston-Tillotson University (HT) is designed to allow students to earn a college degree with other students in their learning cohort. All students receive a personalized degree completion plan and are offered one-on-one academic advising to help them achieve their educational goals. All HT Online courses are designed to be highly focused, which allows students to graduate in the same time frame as a traditional program.

Admissions Requirements

  • Application Fees

    Pay a non-refundable $25 admission application fee
  • Grade Point Average Requirements

    Earned a minimum 2.0 GPA in the last 30 college-level semester hours attempted (Education majors will need a minimum of 2.3) Students with less than 30 college-level semester hours will have to submit a high school transcript
  • Student Standing

    Must be in good standing with the last college/university attended
  • Transcripts

    Submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (even if students have withdrawn from the institution before final grades are posted)

Transfer Credit Evaluation and Application Policy

Note: There is no guarantee that all transfer credits will apply towards satisfying degree requirements at Huston-Tillotson University. The Academic Advisor, in consultation with the Director of Student Services, makes the final decision to accept transfer credit applicable to the student’s degree plan. Transfer credit is not counted in calculating a student’s cumulative GPA.

Transfer Credit Policy for Junior/Community College and Four-Year Institution Students

Students transferring from junior/community colleges and four-year accredited institutions are limited to transferring 66 college-level semester credit hours toward graduation requirements. Only courses with grades of “C” or better are accepted for transfer credit.
